Early Life
Todd Gurley was born on the 3rd of August, 1994, in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Likewise, he is 27 years old. He was born to parents Todd Gerome Gurley and Darlene Simmons.
Todd grew up with four siblings- Princeton, Davon, Shannon, and Tarik. As Todd is a private person, there’s no other information on his family. He enrolled in Tarboro High School, in Tarboro, North Carolina.

Todd Gurley – College Career
Freshman Season
Todd Gurley attended the University of Georgia after graduating from high school. He was backup to redshirt sophomore player Ken Malcome in his freshmen season.
In his first game at the against Buffalo Bulls, he recorded 100 yards on eight carries, including two rushing touchdowns.
Todd quickly took over as a starter in the second game of the season against SEC East opponent Missouri. He had 65 running yards on 10 carries in the 41–20 victory.
During the game against Georgia Southern, Todd also became the second true freshman in Georgia’s history to record 1000 rushing yards, the only other being Herschel Walker in 1980.
During the regular-season finale against rival Georgia Tech, he had two touchdowns and covered 97 rushing yards on 12 carries in the 42-10 victory.
Georgia placed 1st in SEC East and faced Alabama in the SEC Championship. Georgia lost to Alabama. Todd covered 122 rushing yards on 23 carries and also had two rushing touchdowns.
Todd started in 12 out of 14 games and had 1,385 rushing yards on 222 carries, including 17 rushing touchdowns in the 2012 season.
His 17 rushing touchdowns in a single season tied the record for third in the school’s history.

Suspension
Todd Gurley was indefinitely suspended by the University of Georgia on October 9, 2014, for allegedly violating NCAA rules.
Todd received $3,000 in signed items and a signoverurse of two years, according to the investigation, which took two days.
He missed two games the before NCAA finalized and decided to suspend Todd for 4 games. Todd tore his ACL in his first game back from suspension on November 15, 2014,
and his collegiate career at the University of Georgia came to an end. He sat out for two more games before being able to play in the annual rivalry game.
