Rapper Blueface was stabbed in the leg by a stranger while training at a boxing gym in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning for an upcoming fight.
The 26-year-old artist, whose real name is Jonathan Porter, was taken to the hospital, where is recovering from the 10:30 a.m. attack at Kaminsky Boxing Gym in Reseda, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Later Wednesday, the “Thotiana” rapper posted apparent surveillance footage of the confrontation on his Instagram Story.
He wrote in the caption that he will no longer be able to participate in his scheduled fight on Oct. 14 because he was “stabbed by some random guy.”
The LAPD confirmed with the newspaper that a man was taken to a local hospital with a stab wound while conscious and breathing, but declined to identify the victim as Blueface.
The suspect fled in a black Tesla Model S with no license plates, police said.
The video posted by Blueface shows an agitated man in a white tank top and jeans approach the rapper, who is wearing boxing gloves and a chest protector, but another man — identified by TMZ as trainer David Kaminsky — steps between them. A dog can also be seen running around in the background.
The two can be seen jawing back and forth before Blueface goes around Kaminsky and punches the suspect in the face with a hard right. He then hits him with several other punches, the video shows.
The man backs away, and appears to pull out a knife from his pocket. The footage cuts out before the alleged stabbing.
“He keeps approaching me with a look in his eye. I know that look,” Blueface narrates over another angle of the altercation.
He posted another clip showing his bloody bandages and told his fans not to worry.
“It’s just a leg shot, guys, I’m okay. You don’t gotta blow up my phone or nothing,” he said.
Kaminsky told TMZ that the deranged man stormed into the gym and yelled, “I’m going to kill you” at Blueface.
No arrests have been made.
The rapper is separately facing an attempted murder charge in Nevada related to a shooting near Las Vegas Boulevard and Sunset Road in October 2022, police said.
